Jeannine Benoit, MA, CCC-SLP

Jeannine has over 16 years of experience as a Medical Speech Pathologist. She devoted several years cultivating her talents in the Texas Medical Center with CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Health in Houston. She also served as Supervisor of the Therapy Department at CHI St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital where she managed a team of Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists.

Jeannine’s clinical expertise includes Dysarthria, Aphasia, Apraxia, Cognitive disorders, Dysphagia and Modified Barium Swallow Studies. She has demonstrated successful outcomes for complex patient populations with communication and swallowing disorders. She remains active in hospital-based healthcare and is currently affiliated with Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Jeannine received her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston. She holds a national certification with the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She is certified in the Compton P-ESL of Pronouncing English as a Second Language. At CHI Baylor St. Luke’s, she was awarded the opportunity to contribute to a research study regarding the impact of accent modification in healthcare for nurses with ESL entitled: International Accent Modification to Improve Foreign-born Nurses’ Communication with Physicians, Hospital Staff and Patients.

Jeannine is a graduate of Leadership Houston, Class XXIV. She has also served as a lead speaker for physicians and nurses at medical-surgical conferences. She lives in Sugar Land with her husband, Dr. Scott Benoit, DDS. Jeannine is passionate about helping others achieve success and happiness with effective communication skills.
